This is what you’ll get in this visit in Sri Lanka

  • Due to its proximity to the equator, Sri Lanka experiences very hot weather except during the rainy season. For this reason, please consider your suitability for the time of year you intend to visit and be sure to use tolerable sunscreen and drink plenty of water.
  • The tour includes sightseeing and walking along a road to get acquainted with the locals who work in the tea estates. The climb is relatively flat and covers a significant mile each day. We recommend a basic fitness level because some people have experienced physical exertion. Road sections are rough and muddy and slippery when it rains. If you feel you are unable to complete this walk and you are unable to do so, please let us know immediately.
  • The scenery from the top of Sigiriya Lion Rock is spectacular, but to reach it involves climbing narrow stairs and walking down steep paths. If you have a fear of heights or movement conditions, you may want to stop this activity.
  • The journey to Mirissa is slow, windy and slow. These winding roads have been a problem for some tourists in the past due to motion sickness. If you believe you may be affected, talk to your guide or leader before traveling about medications that may help.
